WordPress design and development for businesses

WordPress development services: your site, built like this one

Our WordPress development services use the same technology as integroflow.com: our own WordPress theme, Gutenberg blocks and only the plugins your business needs. The design is made for you. The domain and hosting are in your name from day one, and paid licenses are yours.

If WordPress isn’t right for your site, we’ll tell you in the free assessment, which comes with no obligation.

Custom WordPress development: when it fits and what you get

When WordPress isn’t the answer

A WordPress site needs someone to keep it updated after launch: you, your team, us or another developer.

When no one will take that on, WordPress is the wrong choice. A simple website builder may then be enough, and we’ll say so in the free assessment.

If you need an online store on WordPress, that’s a separate service of ours, built on WooCommerce. We don’t build stores on Shopify. A web application, or a site in a couple of days or for €300, isn’t something we do.

For the general picture, read what WordPress is and who it suits.

A different WordPress project? There are other kinds of sites we build.

How we build it

We build client sites with the same technology as integroflow.com, the site you’re reading. For us, custom WordPress website development starts with our own theme instead of a bought ready-made one or a drag-and-drop page builder. Pages are made of Gutenberg blocks, the building blocks of the editor that comes with WordPress.

Plugins go in only when they solve a clear business task. Sometimes a few lines of code in the theme replace one. Free plugins come before paid ones, and we remove anything unused.

The technology is shared. The design is yours: our WordPress website designers create a custom WordPress website design for your business. Further down, we show how this site is built.

What’s yours from day one, and if you leave

From day one, the domain and hosting are registered in your name. We set them up and connect them, and you pay the provider directly. IntegroFlow doesn’t sell hosting and takes no commission from hosting companies.

Admin access, source code and documentation are handed over to you for the work you’ve paid for, even if we stop working together. Paid plugin and theme licenses are in your name, and we flag those costs in advance, in the proposal.

On delivery, you get a handover pack: who owns which account, what was checked, known limitations and how to restore the site. If you leave, all of it goes with you.

What you edit yourself

With our WordPress CMS development services, you edit texts, images and posts yourself. Short screencasts at handover show how. Content comes from you: what you give us for the brief is in place at launch. Later changes are yours to make, or ours for a separate fee.

Our three months of free fixes for anything that doesn’t work as agreed apply however much you edit content. Other changes to the site after handover, by you or others, aren’t covered.

In a standard build, editor layouts aren’t locked. To protect the design from accidental edits, a Custom project can include locked layouts and editor restrictions. We add them when you ask, or when our conversation shows you need them. They’re priced as part of your Custom scope.

After launch. For three months we fix, free of charge, anything that doesn’t work as agreed. Then support is an optional subscription, explained in the FAQ.

Speed and security. Both depend on the build: what loads on each page and which plugins run. Every WordPress website services project includes speed optimization and SSL. The backup we hand over is tested by restoring it. Here is what actually slows a WordPress site.

Scope and timelines are fixed in writing before work starts, in plain, non-technical terms. Our WordPress development process moves in stages with a visible result at each one, and you can check us at the first stage. See how a project runs from the free assessment to launch.

Proof you can check

This site is how we build WordPress websites

One way to judge WordPress development services is to look at the provider’s own site. Ours, integroflow.com, runs on our own standalone WordPress theme, with no page builder in the theme or the plugins. Every page is built from our own Gutenberg blocks. jQuery and the extra styles and scripts WordPress adds by default don’t load. Fonts load from our own server. Analytics waits for consent in the cookie banner, and the contact form, with spam protection, is part of the theme.

In one client project, an online clothing store in Greece, our team moved the pages from a page builder to Gutenberg blocks. That’s an example of similar work we have already done.

Rather not read code? Ask in the free assessment, and we’ll show you this site’s editor: pages built from our own blocks, with no page builder.

FAQ

Questions to settle with any WordPress agency

Five questions owners ask before choosing a WordPress website design company.

You decide, and the upkeep is hosting and the domain, paid directly to the provider, plus any paid licenses, while our support is optional. Fixes for what doesn’t work as agreed cost nothing for three months. Licenses are flagged in advance, and support is a monthly subscription, with work outside the plan billed by the hour. The accounts are in your name, so who keeps the site running after launch can be you, your team, us or another developer.

We build on WordPress installed on hosting in your name. WordPress.com is a separate service, and here is the difference between WordPress.com and self-hosted WordPress.

With our WordPress development services, a Landing site takes 5 working days* and a Standard site 10 working days*. Both count from the prepayment and the completed brief. A Custom project gets its timeline in the proposal.

*Not counting revisions, time spent waiting for your replies and approvals, or launch and handover.

Yes. Moving a site is part of our WordPress website development services, so you won’t need a separate WordPress migration agency. Content you list in the brief moves over as initial content, and redirects from old addresses to new ones are always included. Large volumes, like a product catalog or a blog of more than 20 posts, get a separate estimate. We don’t promise search rankings after a move.

Ask any developer seven things. Is the theme their own or bought? Is there a page builder? Which plugins, and why? Whose name are the domain, hosting and licenses in? What will you edit yourself, and what is locked? Who looks after the site after launch, and is that required? What happens if you leave?

These are the qualities to look for in a WordPress development agency. Our answers to each are on this page. Compare them with what another WordPress web development company or WordPress design agency tells you.
